Stefani Zellmer, Queen Zee
Stefani Zellmer was born, raised and educated in Texas, from which she promptly fled upon graduation from the University of Texas. Not because she didn’t love Austin—she knew she’d be back—but because creativity works best after viewing life from all angles. She’s written ads in Portland, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Richmond and Austin for reputable agencies such as Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, Ground Zero, BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, Lowe Worldwide, and GSD&M, who finally lassoed her back to Texas where she belongs and intends to stay.
After working for both big agencies and small ones, she decided it was high time to work for a new kind of agency: her own. In 2009, she co-founded The Swizzle Collective, where she created brand messaging for a roster of local clients such as Velocity Credit Union, Champions Westlake, Threadgill’s, Ballet Austin and Holmes Smokehouse. While still a founding partner of The Swizzle Collective, Zellmer has focused her energy into running Zeehive exclusively in an attempt to get back to her original roots: writing. And to do what she’s always been hired to do: empower women with intelligent and insightful brand messages.
